BAGHDAD: The Al-Qaeda-linked Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) plans to expand its control into Europe in next five years, the Daily Mail said in a report.

On June 30, the Sunni militant group announced the establishment of a ‘caliphate’ in captured territories from Iraq and Syria with Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi as its first ‘caliph’.

The report said that the militants from the ISIL plan first to extend their so-called caliphate into Eastern Europe including Romania, Bulgaria and Greece, and then conquer as far as Austria.

The entire Middle East, North Africa, Central Asia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Turkey and Iran are marked in ISIL’s map.

“The legality of all emirates, groups, states and organizations becomes null by the expansion of the caliph’s authority and the arrival of its troops to their areas,” the ISIL spokesman Abu Muhammed al-Adnani said.

The ISIL has also posted a video on the web, threatening to invade and take over Spain.
