DIAMER, Pakistan: An operation jointly conducted by the Pakistan army, Gilgit-Baltistan scouts, police commandos and backed by gunship helicopters continues against militants on the second consecutive day on Wednesday at Mashko forest in the Diamer district of Gilgit-Baltistan.
The Home Secretary Gilgit-Baltistan Dr Attaur Rehman said that several hideouts of the militants have been destroyed in the ongoing operation.
The sources said that the militants against whom the operation is being carried out were involved in the incidents of terrorism in Lolosar and Nanga Parbat as well as on Karakuram Highway.
