ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has reportedly sought resignations of party’s lawmakers in the National Assembly; however, the PTI spokesperson Shireen Mazari has denied such reports.

The media reports said on Saturday that 16 PTI MNAs from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will submit their protest resignations in connection with the Azadi March to Imran Khan during a party meeting on August 4.

The reports citing the PTI MNA Engineer Hamid-ul-Haq said that the resignations were summoned by Imran Khan who will present them to the National Assembly speaker on August 13.

However, the PTI spokesperson Shireen Mazari has denied that a decision has been taken for the party MNAs to resign and Imran Khan has not summoned their resignations.

Mazari said that there will be talks on this matter during the meeting on August 4.
