QUETTA, Pakistan: A remote-controlled bomb exploded near a vehicle of Frontier Corps (FC) personnel in the Hazar Ganji area of Quetta on Thursday, killing a security person and injuring another, a security official said.
The official said that the bomb was planted by militants in a heap of garbage on a roadside near Sharifabad Chowk. He said that the bomb went off when a convoy of FC personnel passed through the area.
Subsequently, a security person lost his life while another sustained injuries. The vehicle was completely destroyed as a result of the attack.
