GUNRANWALA, Pakistan: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Gujranwala on Tuesday issued non-bailable arrest warrants of the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader Dr Tahirul Qadri and 72 his supporters in police torture case.
The court issued the warrants while hearing a petition filed against the PAT workers for clashing with police personnel near Ghakkar Mandi area in Gujranwala on Youm-e-Shuhada (Martyrs Day) on August 10, during which at least 61 police officers were injured.
The ATC ordered that all 72 nominated persons should be produced before the court on August 27.
