ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif held a meeting in Islamabad on Monday and discussed prevailing situation in the country.
During the meeting, the COAS took the prime minister into confidence of details of the decisions made at the Corps Commanders Conference held in Rawalpindi last night.
The Corps Commanders Conference held at the army’s general headquarters in Rawalpindi on Sunday night with COAS in the chair, it was once again reiterated that the situation should be resolved politically without wasting any time and without recourse to violent means.
The corps commanders also said that further use of force will only aggravate the problem.
