ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The death toll from the torrential rains which wreaked havoc in northeastern Punjab and Azad Kashmir has reached 63 on Friday.
More than 90 persons have also been injured due to two days of heavy rains.
The sources said that at least 11 more persons were killed while several others sustained injuries on Friday after heavy rains lashed parts of Punjab and Azad Kashmir.
The latest deaths have been reported from Rawalpindi, Sialkot and Azad Kashmir.
High Flood level in River Chenab at Marala Headworks
Meanwhile, a high flood level is being witnessed in River Chenab at Marala Headworks, with the total water flow of 472,000 cusecs at present.
The district administration has issued flood warning and local people are being evacuated from the sensitive areas.
The Pakistan army has already been called in to assist the district administration in Sialkot and Narowal areas.
