ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The 66th death anniversary of founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah is being observed on Thursday across the country with reverence and honour.
On the occasion, political personalities, armed forces, officials and citizens would visit the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam in Karachi
Various seminars and ceremonies are also being held across the country to pay tribute to the great leader.
In his message on the occasion, President Mamnoon Hussain said that Quaid-e-Azam possessed a high degree of uprightness, honesty, integrity, courage and conviction.
The president said that today is the day of reflection and we need to pause and reflect as to how far we have succeeded in pursuing the path shown by our Quaid.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in his message said that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah set an example of hard work and selfless service to his nation, which is a source of inspiration for every Pakistani. He said that we must strive to fulfill Quaid’s mission of making Pakistan a model Islamic welfare state.
