Karzai criticizes US, Pakistan over war on terror in Afghanistan

KABUL, Afghanistan: The Afghan President Hamid Karzai has criticized the United States and Pakistan over war on terror in his country, and said the two countries are not genuinely committed to bringing peace and stability to Afghanistan.

In his farewell speech to his cabinet ministers, Karzai warned the new Afghan government to be extra cautious in relations with the US and the West.

Karzai said that the United States does not want peace in Afghanistan because Washington has its own agenda and objectives.

The Afghan president said that Pakistan was and is struggling to take control of the foreign police of Afghanistan but he warned that the Afghan government will never let this to happen.

Hamid Karzai said that the Afghan nation has become the victim of foreign war and emphasized that Afghanistan is keen to have a strategic and friendly relations both with Pakistan and the US providing that the two nations act on their commitments.
