KABUL, Afghanistan: The British Prime Minister David Cameron arrived in Kabul on Friday for talks with the new Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, becoming the first world leader to meet the new Afghan leadership.
During the visit, the British prime minister and the Afghan president are due to discuss a crucial conference to be held in London next month to consider future aid to Afghanistan.
The British combat troops are due to leave Afghanistan by the end of the year, but a small number of soldiers will remain in the country to train Afghan army officers.
