QUETTA, Pakistan: A suicide blast took place in the Aliabad area of Quetta’s Hazara town on Saturday night that left at least five persons dead and 27 others injured.
Police said that the blast occurred near a girls high school in the Hazara Town area.
The injured and dead bodies were shifted to the Bolan Medical Complex Hospital and the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) for medical treatments and legal requirements.
The Balochistan government spokesman Jan Muhammad Buledi said that emergency was imposed in all government-run hospitals soon after the blast.
Meanwhile, the Hazara Democratic Party has condemned the suicide blast while according to Allama Sajid Naqvi, Shia Ulema Council has announced to observe a day of mourning against the blast in Quetta’s Hazara town.
It was the second blast in Balochistan’s capital today as earlier in the day, at least seven persons including a child were injured in a blast that occurred on the Spini Road near Bakra Mandi in Quetta.
