Death toll from Indian firing along working boundary reaches 12

SIALKOT, Pakistan: The death toll from the Indian forces in the past few days along the Pakistan-India working boundary has reached 12 after two more persons including a woman were killed in latest firing by the Indian troops in Harpal sector near Sialkot border on Thursday.

The sources in the Chenab Rangers said that one person was also injured in latest firing by the Indian forces, raising the number of injured persons to 43.

The sources added that several buildings were also damaged during the incident and the exchange of fire was ongoing between the forces of two sides.

The Foreign Office said on October 6 that the government of Pakistan has lodged strong protest with the government of India through diplomatic channels and called for restraining its forces from constant violation of the ceasefire.
