PakistanMQM chief calls for Sindh high offices for Urdu-speaking

KARACHI: The Chief Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain said that if high public offices in Sindh are kept out of reach of the Urdu-speaking people, then his party will be free in taking up any decision regarding their future, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported on Friday.

In a statement issued from London, the MQM chief said that despite having rendered sacrifices of thousands of lives, the Urdu-speaking people did not take law in their hands.

The MQM chief urged the Urdu-speaking to continue showing some more restraint and patience just as they have been doing in the past.

Altaf impressed upon the establishment of Sindh and the prejudiced nationalist elements to change their attitude towards the Urdu-speaking.

The MQM chief warned that if the descendents of the founders of Pakistan continued to be looked upon as third-rate citizens, they would be free to take any decision about their future.
