PESHAWAR, Pakistan: The security forces killed at least five militants belonging to the banned Lashkar-i-Islam group as a part of the operation ‘Khyber-1’ in the Tirah Valley of the Khyber tribal region on Wednesday.
Eight other militants were also injured in the operation.
The sources said that four hideouts of the militants were destroyed by the security forces in Drewand, Aarinam Wanra and Zor kaley while using heavy machine guns and artillery.
