KOHISTAN: A bus carrying 30 troops plunged into a deep ravine in Kohistan on Saturday killing at least 24 security personnel and wounding six others, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported. According to ISPR, there were 25 security personnel and two civilians on board the bus which was going to Gilgit from Rawalpindi. All the passengers were travelling back home for vacations.

District Police Officer Kohistan said that the ill-fated coaster was traveling to Gilgit from Rawalpindi before it met the fatal accident in Dasu town of Kohistan on Shara-e-Karakoram.

The dead and the injured were shifted to nearby hospitals.
