The Note 4 is undoubtedly a marvelous phablet which brings out the best features of both a tablet and a phone. While the device itself is aimed towards the high end users and has a lot of features to offers, you can enhance your experience greatly by rooting your device. That being said, if you’re unsure about how to do that, just follow our easy to follow guide given below.

Disclaimer: We take no responsibility for any damages that might be caused to your device either during or after the process, please proceed at your own risk.

Prerequisites: You will require Minimal ADB and Fastboot along with the USB drivers of your device set up on your computer.

Guide:

  • Download the CF Auto Root file for your Note 4’s exact model from here.
  • Once downloaded, extract the files to an accessible location.
  • Open Minimal ADB, connect your phone to the computer and type: “adb reboot download” to make your device boot into the download mode
  • Open Odin in Administrator mode and wait for the software to detect your device by displaying a blue light on the top left corner.
  • Click PDA and select the MDZ file that was downloaded in the first step
  • Click start and wait for your device to automatically restart.
  • Go to your app drawer and open SuperSU.
  • It will ask you to disable Knox, do so. If it asks you to update binaries do that as well (select Normal if asked for a binary update).

That’s about it, you will now have root privileges on your device. Of course, you will have to tap Grant on the SuperSU notification that will appear on your phone screen anytime you want to use a root access app in order to have your device considered as rooted.
