QUETTA, Pakistan: Two persons including a Frontier Corps (FC) personnel were killed while seven others sustained injuries in two separate blasts in southwestern Balochistan province on Tuesday.
Police said that eight persons were injured when the explosives planted in a bicycle went off on the Mall Road area in Balochistan’s Chaman district.
In the blast, several nearby buildings and vehicles were also damaged.
The injured persons were rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital Chaman where one of them succumbed to his wounds while receiving medical treatment.
The FC police personnel cordoned off the area and launched an investigation into the incident.
No group immediately claimed responsibility for the blast.
Separately, one FC personnel was martyred in a roadside bomb blast in Sorange area of Balochistan on Tuesday.
On Sunday, a child was killed and four persons sustained injuries when a bomb planted in a car parked on Taj Road in Chaman exploded. Two motor cycles and two vehicles were also destroyed in the incident.
