RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: A local commander of banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) was arrested from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bannu district, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
The ISPR said that the TTP local commander Sargana Rasool Khan was arrested during an operation carried out by the security forces in Sarai Norang area of Bannu on Friday morning.
Sargana Rasool Khan was involved in terror activities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA), according to the ISPR.
Moreover, arms and ammunition were also recovered from the possession of arrested militant.
FC foils two terror attempts in Balochistan
Meanwhile, the Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan foiled two major terror attempts by recovering huge cache of arms and ammunition during raids conducted in Quetta and Chaman on Friday.
Talking to media persons in Quetta, the Balochistan Home Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that the security forces carried out search operations in New Kahan Hazarganji area of Quetta and Chaman.
