KARACHI, Pakistan:Â A blast outside Bohra community Compound in Karachi left four killed.
This is second major attack in Karachi over Bhora Community as 10 persons including children were killed on September 18, 2012 including a three-month-old baby, and a 12-year-old girl.
The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) police Abdul Khaliq Shaikh said that the blast was caused by a time device. He said that the explosive device was planted on a motorcycle placed outside the Saleh Mosque, and it went off during the Friday prayer.
The DIG police said that several motorcycles were damaged and windows of nearby shops were also broken due to the blast.
The sources said that 10 injured persons were shifted to Civil Hospital while three were brought to Burhani Hospital. They said that four of the injured were in critical condition.
The sources said that the Dawoodi Bohra community, a sub-sect of Shia Islam, perform its worships in the Saleh Mosque.
Meanwhile, the Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah strongly condemned the blast, and sought a report from the DIG Sindh.
The Sindh Chief Minister directed law enforcing agencies to provide complete security to the Bohra community. He also directed the hospitals to provide best possible medical care to the injured.
