PESHAWAR, Pakistan: A roadside remote-controlled bomb hit a vehicle in Raghzai area of South Waziristan agency on Monday morning, killing three officials of the political administration.
The sources said that the political administration officials identified as political Muharar Farooq Wazir and his two associates were going to their office when they came under attack.
Meanwhile, President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif strongly condemned the bomb blast in South Waziristan and reaffirmed government’s resolve to eliminate terrorism from the country.
12 terrorists killed in North Waziristan
Separately, the security force conducted a ground operation in Datta Khel area of the North Waziristan tribal region and killed 12 terrorists.
“Twelve militants were killed by security forces in a ground operation in an area 10km south-west of Datta Khel in North Waziristan Agency late last night,” the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
“Militants were surrounded by troops in a cordon and search operation,” the statement added.
