Modern security system installed at Allama Iqbal International Airport

LAHORE, Pakistan: Pakistan has become the second country in Asia after China to have the facility of modern security system at one of its international airports, reports Dispatch News Desk news agency.

The modern security system has been installed at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport for the security and safety of passengers. The system has been indigenously manufactured within just four months by Pakistani engineers.

Its inauguration was done by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday who on the occasion directed the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) officials to provide modern facilities of international standard to the passengers at the airports.

The prime minister also advised them to complete the expansion of Lahore airport keeping in view future needs due to increase in number of passengers and air traffic.

On the occasion, the Director General Airports Security Force (ASF) Major General Sohail briefed the prime minister on the new system.

The prime minister was also given presentations on extension of Allama Iqbal International Airport, enhancement of in-flight facilities for passengers by civil aviation authorities and the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
