Punjab government conducts health facilities census
Lahore, Pakistan: Punjab government has started the process of conducting census of health related all facilities.
Hospitals, Polyclinics, Family Physicians, Dental clinics, Dental Surgery, Pathological Laboratories, Gynecology clinics, Maternity Homes, Homeopathic clinics, Dispensary of Hakim, Physiotherapy and Acupuncture clinics, Rehabilitation Centers for mental diseases or psychological matters and Nursing Homes will be tagged and documented during the census.
The census would be carried out in phases by the Punjab Health Care Commission in collaboration with Urban Unit, said a provincial health officer here on Friday.
He said in the first phase, it would be conducted in five divisions of the province including Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sahiwal and Multan, where the census teams would register all the set ups working in the health sector.
He said all such units include, Hospitals, Polyclinics, Family Physicians, Dental clinics, Dental Surgery, Pathological Laboratories, Gynecology clinics, Maternity Homes, Homeopathic clinics, Dispensary of Hakim, Physiotherapy and Acupuncture clinics, Rehabilitation Centers for mental diseases or psychological matters and Nursing Homes.
All these centers would be brought in the “Geo Tagging” which is being introduced to pin point the exact location and existence of any health related set up. In addition to that complains or suggestion would also be gathered regarding these centers through mobile phones.
The Punjab Health authorities have sought complete cooperation from respective administration of such units to the teams of Urban Unit who had especially been tasked to carry out census.
The representatives of the Urban Units have been issued special permission letter besides identity cards to perform the task.
