It may be mentioned that 23 persons were martyred in terrorist attack on PAF Camp Peshawar and Pakistan on early morning of September 18, 2015.

Terrorists killed 16 persons in a mosque before entering PAF Camp.Terrorists entered a mosque at Fajr prayers and martyred 16 Namazi offering prayers. Mosque is adjacent to Guardroom within the premises of PAF Camp. Majority of Namazis belonged to Pakistan Army and Pakistan Air Force. The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that a splinter group of the banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) was behind the terrorist attack and attackers came from Afghanistan. ISPR Director General Asim Saleem Bajwa
while giving a briefing to media in Peshawar on Friday said that the Badaber attack was planned and being controlled from Afghanistan.
Bajwa said that our intelligence agencies are carrying out further investigation into the incident.

The DG ISPR apprised media about the terrorist attack and the response of the security forces, saying 39 people including 23 of PAF embraced martyrdom in the attack. He said that 13 to 14 terrorists entered the PAF camp at about 5 am firing rocket launchers and other weapons.

The director general of the Pakistan army media wing said that the terrorists wanted to move forward but they were contained and eliminated within the 50 meters area. They were not allowed to go to the residential or the sensitive area.
