Achakzai seeks joint session of parliament to discuss anti-terror policy

ISLAMABAD: Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) chairman Mahmood Khan Achakzai said on Wednesday that a joint session of the parliament should be convened to discuss the way forward to deal with the issue of terrorism.

In his address on the floor of the National Assembly in Islamabad on Wednesday that the PkMAP leader said that all the political and religious parties should support the present government at these defining moments to rid the country of all problems.

The Awami National Party (ANP) lawmaker in the house Haji Ghulam Ahmad Bilour appreciated the government for giving a tit for tat response to the violent acts of the terrorists, saying this approach is also vital for the success of dialogue process.

Shireen Mazari from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) said that action should be taken against terrorist groups after they are separated. She recommended that services from the private sector should be taken in running religious seminaries.
