RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Afghan ambassador to Pakistan Dr Hazrat Omar Zakhilwal held a meeting with the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at army’s general headquarters in Rawalpindi on Wednesday.
In a press release, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that during the meeting matters of mutual interest including security situation in the region/Afghanistan were discussed.
The Afghan ambassador thanked the COAS for his efforts in improving bilateral relations.
Meanwhile in a tweet, the Afghan ambassador said that today in his regular meeting with Pakistan Army Chief General Qamar Bajwa, he had a detailed discussion on key issues of bilateral importance including their joint efforts for peace & reduction of violence in Afghanistan, and full implementation of Afghan-Pak Action Plan for Peace & Solidarity (APAPPS).
