PESHAWAR, Pakistan: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that the Afghan government is cooperating with the Pakistan government in counter terrorism steps.
In his address to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) parliamentarians in Peshawar on Thursday, the prime minister said that relations with neighboring Afghanistan are improving.
Nawaz Sharif said that the military operation Zarb-e-Azb has broken the backbone of terrorists and targeted operation in Karachi is also giving positive results.
The prime minister said that the government will focus on other issues being faced by the nation after the elimination of terrorism.
The Prime Minister said the national economy is being revived and international organizations including Moody, International Monetary Fund (IMF) and Bloomberg have appreciated the economic achievements of the government.
“We will achieve our set targets to overcome power crisis in the country and job opportunities will be created for people,” he said.
Sharif directed the President PML-N Chapter of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to select honest candidates for contesting the local government elections in the province.
