ANKARA, Türkiye: The Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal along with a Parliamentary/Ministerial delegation visited Türkiye to offer condolences on the demise of Sheikh Mahmut Ustaosmanoğlu and meet Türkiye’s senior leaders.
In Ankara, the delegation met President of the Strategy and Budget Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye İbrahim Şenel in Ankara.
Both sides discussed ways to deepen trade, economic and investment engagement between the two Countries.
The Planning and Development Minister Ahsan Iqbal highlighted the strong bond of brotherhood that existed between both Countries and the need to convert excellent political relations between Pakistan and Türkiye into enhanced bilateral economic and trade relations on the pattern of CPEC.
In particular, he underlined closer cooperation in aviation, space technology, research and development, housing, tourism and higher education sectors.

Ahsan Iqbal suggested bilateral cooperation and experience sharing in attracting foreign investment, enhance productivity, participation in global supply chains and tapping export potential.
The minister expressed interest in technical cooperation for development of tourism infrastructure in Pakistan.
In this regard, he proposed to undertake joint collaborative projects at the level of academic/university and industry.
Both sides agreed to remain engaged to work on common areas of interests and realizing huge potential of trade and economic relations between Pakistan and Türkiye.
It was also agreed to share experience in the field of budget preparation, strategy, planning and sustainable development.
