- Imran stresses NAB needs to probe sale of Hasan’s one hyde park apartment to Ali Riaz
ISLAMABAD: The former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said that Al-Qadir Trust Case never had any basis as it was just brought in to victimise him, saying that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) needed to probe the sale of Hasan Sharif’s one Hyde Park apartment to Ali Riaz Malik at twice the value, clearly hinting towards’ a possible kickback by Sharif family.
The PTI Chairman said: “As per the NCA settlement of £190 million with Ali Riaz Malik, it included a UK property, 1 Hyde Park Place, London W2 2LH, valued at approximately £50 million.”
Imran Khan said that the property belonged to Nawaz Sharif’s son Hasan Nawaz which was bought by Ali Riaz Malik at twice the value in 2016.
“In 2020 the NCA and Malik Riaz deal was investigated by NAB itself and the inquiry was closed,” he added.
“Al Qadir Case was only brought in to victimise me, it never had any basis,” Khan maintained.
The PTI Chairman suggested: “What NAB really needs to probe is the sale of Hasan Sharif’s one Hyde Park apartment to Ali Riaz Malik at twice the value, which clearly hints towards’ a possible kickback by Sharif family since it was sold at the time of Panama Papers revelations’ when Nawaz Sharif was Prime Minister.”
