DUBAI, UAE: The Reuters reporter from Dubai William Maclean reported that Al Qaeda leader Ayman al Zawahri has  announced the formation of an Indian Subcontinent branch to “raise the flag of jihad” across the subcontinent including Kashmir. Al Qaeda opens its Indian Subcontinent branch for Jihad in Kashmir and Burma.
In a latest 55-minute video posted online, Zawahri described the formation of “Al Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent” as a glad tidings for Muslims “in Burma, Bangladesh, Assam, Gujurat, Ahmedabad, and Kashmir” and that the new wing would rescue Muslims there from injustice and oppression.
The apparent reason to open this branch or franchise it with Afghan Taliban or any other terrorist group is to stop influence of Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in South Asia because ISIS has also announced that it will establish Khurasan region that include South Asia and Central Asia. ISIS already claimed that it has operatives in India.
