RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: All medical facilities of the Pakistan Armed Forces have been operationalized and geared up to meet any eventuality to deal with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic, as part of the national effort and in line with the decisions of the National Security Committee (NSC) taken on March 13.

In a press release on Tuesday, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the COVID-19 Testing Labs have been established at major military hospitals across the Country while the Central Testing Lab has been established at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP) in Rawalpindi.

The ISPR said that the COVID-19 Help Desk has been established at each military hospital for fast track handling.

It said that the Armed Forces of Pakistan are fully involved in assisting the government and provincial administrations to tackle the situation since the outbreak and duly vigilant of the developing situation post-COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has directed all Commanders to take maximum necessary measures to assist the civil administration for the safety and wellbeing of the people of Pakistan.
