ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that amendment in Army Act will be made through a democratic process.
Talking to media representatives outside the Parliament House in Islamabad on Friday, Dr Firdous congratulated all political parties for supporting the government’s move for the amendment.
The Special Assistant said that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) laws will also be amended with consensus of all political parties through the Parliament. She said that supremacy of the Parliament is real face of democracy.

Earlier in the day, the Federal Minister for Defence Pervez Khattak tabled three bills “Pakistan Army (Amendment) Bill 2020,” “Pakistan Air Force (Amendment) Bill 2020” and “Pakistan Navy (Amendment) Bill 2020” in the National Assembly.
Meanwhile talking to media, the Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry said that the Country cannot afford politics on national institutions.
Fawad Chaudhry said that all the parties are moving ahead on Pakistan Army (Amendment) Bill 2020 with consensus.
