In his previous tweet about the Apple foldable iPhone, Ming-Chi Kuo indicated that Apple will launch a new foldable tech that may be in 2024 he said, “I think the priority order of sizes of Apple foldable product development is medium, large, & small. Apple is actively testing foldable OLEDs about 9″ (PPI between iPhone & iPad, adoption of TDDI). The test is to verify key technologies and may not be the final product spec”.
However, now Ming-Chi Kuo has tweeted, “I expected the company to launch a foldable iPhone as soon as 2024 in my reports last year, but now it’s clear this prediction needs to be revised. I predict Apple may launch its first foldable product in 2025 at the earliest, which may be a foldable iPad or a hybrid of iPad & iPhone.”
In short, initially, the company had focused on a medium-sized foldable device that may result in devices with a large display. Subsequently, the design will enhance for smaller devices, such as the iPhone.

Apple is using this gadget to assess and validate key technologies. These details are included in the upcoming iPhone, but still, details have not been confirmed. The tweet also declares that Apple hopes to make its debut in the foldable phone in 2025.
Moreover, Kuo’s comments follow a report from The Elec. It states that Apple has partnered with LG to design a foldable Laptop OLED display with ultra-thin cover glass for future tablets and notebooks.
