ISLAMABAD: Security Agencies on Tuesday submitted reports in the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) that states around 49,000 people have lost their lives since September 11, 2001 in Pakistan’s restive tribal areas.
Besides, other reports were also submitted in the apex court about the security situation in tribal areas by secretaries of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and Provincially Administered Tribal Areas (PATA).
According to reports, around 15,000 people were killed in these areas since 2008. They further states that a total 608 big and small operations were conducted by security agencies in these areas in addition to over 6,000 search operations.
