ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Finance Asad Umar has said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led government is committed to promotion of investment in human resource development.
In his address at the Human Resource Summit in Islamabad on Tuesday, the finance minister said that investment in human resource development, health and education is very beneficial in the long-run.
Asad Umar said that development of human resource is an agenda item of the government and we have to remove hurdles in the way of fast-tracking of this sector.

Separately talking to media persons in Islamabad, Asad Umar reaffirmed the commitment to an open and transparent economy.
The minister said that a lot of work has been done for reforms in the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). He also expressed the resolve to further strengthen the Parliament and accountability institutions.
In addition, he dismissed the opposition allegations of the government’s support for the banned outfits.
