RAWALPINDI: Anti-Terrorist Court Rawalpindi on Monday accepted the bail plea of for former army chief General (retd) Pervez Musharraf in the murder case of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto.
Musharraf’s counsel Barrister Salman Safdar appeared before ATC judge Chaudhry Habib Urrehman and contended during today’s hearing.
He said that Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) is only authorized to investigate corruption cases; therefore, it can’t probe into Benazir’s murder.
He said that none of the witnesses named Musharraf in the case, adding that the former president has been involved in the murder to bar be barred from politics.
