PESHAWAR, Pakistan: An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted along the roadside went off in Bajaur agency of militancy-hit Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA) on Friday, killing at least one person.
Four persons also received injuries in the blast which took place in Arang area of Bajaur agency.
Meanwhile, the injured were transported to various hospitals in Khar, Bajaur agency and Timergara, Lower Dir for medical treatment.
No outfit yet accepted its responsibility for carrying out Bajaur blast.
As a result of successful military operations particularly in the Country’s northwestern tribal region helped to reduce the number of terror-related incidents across the Country. However, yet terrorism could not be completely wiped out.
Earlier on January 21 this year, a bomb blast ripped through a vegetable market in Parachinar area of Kurram agency. The blast left at least 25 killed and more than 50 injured.
