QUETTA, Pakistan: Inspector General Police (IGP) Balochistan Ahsan Mehboob on Wednesday said that Balochistan police was not afraid of terrorists, adding that the police would continue its actions against anti-peace elements to bring them to justice.
In a press release issued in Quetta on Wednesday, he said that officials and personnel of Balochistan had been making history by fighting against terrorism.
On Monday night, three-heavily armed suicide bombers stormed the Police Training Centre in Quetta and as a result of two suicide blasts, at least 61 personnel of law enforcement agencies (LEAs) were martyred and more than 125 sustained injuries.
“Scores of police officials and personnel have lost of their lives to restore peace and defeat terrorists in Balochistan,” the IGP Balochistan said.
Expressing his solidarity and sympathy with the heirs of victims of Quetta Police Training Center carnage, the IGP said that police martyrs are our heroes and they are models for Balochistan police.
“The families of martyr police personnel will not be left alone,” he said, adding that their all issues and problems would be resolved on priority basis.
