KARACHI, Pakistan: The Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has invited the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) to join the Sindh government in an attempt to topple the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led coalition government in the Centre.

While addressing the Inauguration Ceremony of various development projects worth Rs 1,740,000,000 in Karachi on Monday, Bilawal Bhutto asked the MQM to part away with the PTI, and offered them as many seats in the Sindh government as they have been allocated in the federal government.

It is worth noting that MQM has a total of seven MNAs in the National Assembly and five Senators while two of its lawmakers including the MQM Convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and Senator Farogh Naseem are part of the Federal Cabinet as the Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication and the Minister for Law & Justice respectively.

Bilawal Bhutto also raised reservations over removal of 820,165 beneficiaries from the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP). He said that initiatives taken by the PTI government has turned out to be detrimental for the poor segment of the society.

The Chairman PPP also condemned the gas policy of the federation. He said that PPP knows how to protect the Constitution, and demanded the federal government to withdraw the gas policy.
