ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has taken the Oath as the 37th Foreign Minister of Pakistan.

President Dr. Arif Alvi administered the oath to Bilawal Bhutto Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad on Wednesday.

Bilawal has assumed the Office as the youngest Foreign Minister of Pakistan at the age of 33 years, 7 months and 6 days.

Earlier, PPP’s Hina Rabbani Khar, now the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, was honoured as the youngest Foreign Minister of Pakistan at the age of 33 years, 8 months, and 1 day.

Bilawal’s grandfather Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto also served Pakistan as the 12th Foreign Minister.

Later, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari along with the PPP leader and Member National Assembly Asif Ali Zardari met Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

Shahbaz Sharif congratulated Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for taking the oath as the federal minister and expressed the resolve to overcome challenges confronting the country with mutual cooperation.

The prime minister emphasized that Pakistan’s progress lies in the supremacy of the Constitution and continuity of the democratic process.

It was agreed to take all the political parties along for strengthening of democracy and to ensure public welfare in the Country.
