Earlier the Matric Supplementary Examination 2019 Result was announced by all Punjab BISEs on November 9.
On the other hand, Matric Position Holders Failed in O-Level Examination
The education system of Pakistan has turned out to be on the alarming verge when the position holders of matriculation got failed in the O-Level exams. Yes, you heard it right! One can think of the average students from matric to fail in O-Level exams but the position holders? It is quite shocking for all of us.
According to the reports, a special Cambridge examination was held for the 590 position holders of the matriculation with A+ and A grades in Board exams. The purpose of holding this special exam was to check the competency of the students qualified with positions in the matric exams.
The Cambridge exam was based on the subjects of English, Urdu, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Unfortunately, the students couldn’t even make it up to 40% marks. These results have revealed that the standard of education is only limited to the strength of the reiteration of students with the focus of obtaining the marks rather than having quality education and knowledge.
The higher authorities including government and even the opposition should take this matter seriously and revise the standards or education model designed for the future of Pakistan to match the pace of moving ahead with that of the Cambridge students.
