IMPHAL: At least nine persons were killed and 21 others injured when a bomb blast went off in India’s restive northeast late Friday, media citing police sources reported on Saturday.
The blast took place on the outskirts of Imphal, capital of the state of Manipur, which borders Myanmar, police said, adding that two of the injured are in critical condition.
Police said that the victims were migrant workers employed by a Kolkata-based company.
No militant group has claimed responsibility for the blast yet.
