QUETTA, Pakistan: At least one Frontier Corps (FC) soldier was killed while five others including four security forces personnel sustained injuries in a blast in Balochistan’s Sibbi district on Thursday.
The police sources said that the blast took place at Chakar Khan Road in Sibbi district near a vehicle of security forces.
The bomb was planted along the roadside which was detonated by a remote control device, the police sources said.
Resultantly, six persons including five FC personnel were injured who were rushed to the Combined Military Hospital in Sibbi for medical treatment.
Later, one of the FC soldiers succumbed to his injuries.
The security personnel reached the blast site and cordoned off the area while an investigation into the incident went underway.
