QUETTA: Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) Chief Sardar Akhtar Mengal announced on Monday that his party would announce its future political strategy on June 28 in a public meeting in Quetta.
The BNP-M would approach the Baloch masses whether to quit or remain in assemblies for survival of Balochs, Sardar Mengal told reporters after chairing central committee meeting on Monday.
“Baloch masses voted for BNP-M but establishment snatched our mandate,” he said.
Sardar Mengal said that his party was deprived from the right of representing Baloch masses in recently held general elections.
“Victory of our candidates was turned into defeat,” he said, adding that under a pre-planned conspiracy, delaying tactics were used in the announcement of results to deprive Baloch people from their real representatives.
The BNP-M chief stated that the reason behind keeping away his party from parliament was to turn Baloch majority into minority in the upcoming census in Balochistan.
He insisted that his party was also punished for its principle stance over continued human rights violation and recovery of mutilated dead bodies in the province.
“We have also been punished for our stance over Gwadar Deep Sea Project and Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project,” he claimed.
Sardar Akhtar Mengal said police and Balochistan constabulary personnel of grade-5 were deployed on polling stations to manipulate the results.
He said Balochs were given the status of third class citizens by the rulers and that was the reason behind prevailing unrest in the province.
