NewsBushra Ansari and Asma Abbas peace message for India

The legendary versatile artist Bushra Ansari along with her sister Asma Abbas has come up with a satire song in the backdrop of Indo-Pak heightened tension, emphasizing upon the two nations to shun their differences and believe in peaceful coexistence.

The neighboring Countries – Pakistan and India – were part of the Subcontinent for centuries. However, their shared culture, tradition, history and language could no longer hold them intact following the emergence of two-nation theory, and eventually they parted away in 1947.

Though the two Countries still enjoy a lot of resembles and their dwellers have profound love and respect for each other. However, some undesired occurrences after their partition and unresolved bilateral issues have time-to-time brought the two Countries on the verge of war.

Even the media especially the one prevalent across the border didn’t play its due part and rather propagated a warmongering narrative.

In such scenario, Bushra Ansari and Asma Abbas have sung a song titled “Hamsaye Maa Jae” written by their another sister Neelum Ahmed Bashir, communicating the message of peace for the two nations while not batting any eye to warmongering media.

It is worth noting that two leading Pakistan television artists Bushra Ansari and Asma Abbas as well as short-story writer Neelam Bashir are daughters of Ahmad Bashir, who was a famed writer, journalist, intellectual and film director. Ahmad Bashir devoted his life for the supremacy of democracy, human rights, freedom of speech and peace between the two arch-rivals.
