NationalCAA warns int’l airlines on flight cancellations

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) has taken stern notice of the sudden cancellation of flights by some international airlines.

In the presence of clear instructions, the cancellation of flights has become a nuisance for passengers traveling to Pakistan as the CAA has issued a warning to airlines canceling flights.

It should be noted that the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) has gradually increased the number of flights from abroad in view of the improvement in the international and domestic epidemic situation.

From June 15, 2021 to date, the number of passengers per day has been increased from 4,000 to 8,000.

In addition, flights from the United Kingdom (UK), Europe, Canada, China, and Malaysia have been increased from 20% to 40%.

The NCOC has developed an integrated system to prevent coronavirus, as a result, the inbound flights are subjected to routine testing and quarantine.

So far, 280,000 people from foreign countries have been tested, of which 600 positive cases have been reported and sent to quarantine.
