NewsCanadians observe Kashmir ‘Black Day’

OTTAWA, Canada: Kashmiris and Canadians of Pakistan origin held a peaceful demonstration in front of Delta Hotel in Ottawa, the venue of Indian Independence Day reception, to express solidarity with the Kashmiris.

The people from all walks of life joined the demonstration and observed “Black Day” to condemn Indian atrocities and human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir.

The participants held placards highlighting sufferings of the Kashmiris at the hands of Indian armed forces in Indian Occupied Kashmir. They chanted slogans against human rights violations in the valley to draw the attention of the Canadians towards the gross human rights violations and use of pallet guns against innocent Kashmiris.

The protestors urged the international community for implementation of the United Nation Security Council’s (UNSC) resolution for ascertaining wishes of the People of Indian Occupied Kashmir to decide their own future.
