Careem, the region’s leading ride-hailing application has broken a barrier in a conservative society like Pakistan by launching Women Captains. Careem has named their campaign as Mein Hoon Azaad and has a firm believe that women in Pakistan should have equal financial opportunities like men.
Careem has further quoted, “This is a unique milestone for us here in Pakistan and we are excited to be the ones leading the movement,” said Junaid Iqbal, General Manager, Careem Pakistan. “Launching a female Captain service, not only helps create equal employment opportunities but also encourages others to break through cultural and social barriers. We aim to continue to empower women to reach for the stars and seek opportunities beyond traditional roles.”
At the moment, Careem is one of the biggest E-Com platforms in Pakistan and leading service in the region while creating economic opportunities for thousands of people in Pakistan and now they have welcomed their global initiative of Women Captains.
