ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The adviser to the prime minister on national security and foreign affairs Sartaj Aziz has said that the incidents of ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC) and Working Boundary show Indian nefarious designs towards Pakistan.
In his address at the concluding session of conference ‘Ideas Conclave 2015’ organized by the Jinnah Institute in Islamabad on Wednesday evening, Sartaj Aziz condemned the ceasefire violations by the Indian border security forces (BSF).
“Pakistan remains committed to a meaningful, sustained and result-oriented dialogue with India to resolve all outstanding issues,” the adviser said.
The adviser said that India suspended secretary-level talks with Pakistan, and now its New Delhi’s turn to resume the stalled dialogue process with Islamabad for the resolution of bilateral issues.
Sartaj Aziz further said that building peaceful and friendly relations with all neighboring countries including Afghanistan is a cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy.
The prime minister’s adviser said that Pakistan supports an inclusive Afghan-led and Afghan-owned peace and reconciliation process, which is vital for achieving long-term peace, stability and progress in Afghanistan.
