ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Center for Global & Strategic Studies (CGSS) and the China Council for BRICS Think Tank Cooperation (CCBTC) have decided to work together in the field of research & development and for increased collaboration at the think tank level (CGSS-CCBTC Cooperation).
The decision was made when a delegation of the CCBTC accompanied by the representatives of the Embassy of Peoples Republic of China visited the CGSS in Islamabad on Thursday.
The delegation met the Chairman CGSS Lieutenant General (retd) Muhammad Zahir Ul Islam and discussed matters of mutual interest including future cooperation.
The Chinese delegation included the Secretary General of CCBTC Luan Jianzhang, the Associate Researcher of China Council for CCBTC Chen Xi, the China Council for CCBTC Suo Bugu, the China Council for CCBTC Gao Yuanyuan, the Defence Attaché at Embassy of Peoples Republic of China in Islamabad Chen Yongpei, and the Director of Political & Press Section at Embassy of Peoples Republic of China in Islamabad Bao Zhong.
Likewise the President CGSS Major General (retd) Syed Khalid Amir Jaffery, the Vice President CGSS Major General (retd) Hafiz Masroor Ahmed, the Former Federal Secretary of Information & Broadcasting and Senior Member Advisory Board CGSS Ashfaq Ahmed Gondal, the Senior Member Advisory Board CGSS Brigadier (retd) Akhtar Nawaz Janjua and the Executive Director CGSS Lt Colonel (retd) Khalid Taimur Akram also participated in the meeting.
