PESHAWAR, Pakistan: The Center for Global & Strategic Studies (CGSS) in Collaboration with the University of Peshawar is organizing a Conference on “Unity, Faith and Discipline” based on the theme of “Pakistaniat” on Tuesday.
The Conference will be held at Shaykh Zayed Islamic Center, University of Peshawar, University Road, Peshawar.
In the Conference, the Vice Chancellor (VC) of University of Peshawar Professor Dr. Mohammad Asif Khan will make the welcome remarks followed by an address by the President CGSS Major General (retd) Major General Syed Khalid Amir Jaffery.
The Director Pakistan Study Center, University of Peshawar, Professor Dr. Fakhr Ul Islam will speak on “Ideology and The Principles of Pakistan: A Historical Perspective”.
The former Corps Commander of Peshawar Corps Lieutenant General (retd) Masood Aslam will speak on “Post-War on Terror Reconstruction and IDP’s” whereas the Dean Faculty of Islamic and Oriental Studies, University of Peshawar, Professor Dr. Miraj-Ul-Islam Zia will make remarks on “Religious Activism and War on Terror”.
Likewise, the former Additional Inspector General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Syed Akhtar Ali Shah will speak on “Pakistan’s Counter Terrorism Efforts and Role of Youth” whereas the Chairman National Democratic Foundation Kanwar Mohammad Dilshad will be speaking on (Reimagining the Role of Provinces in Making Pakistan).
The Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Peshawar, Professor Dr. Johar Ali will speak on “Need for A Knowledge Based Tolerant Society” and the Senior Member Advisory Board CGSS Brigadier (retd) Akhtar Nawaz Janjua will speak on “Unity, Faith and Discipline: The Narrative of Pakistan”.
The President CGSS Major General (retd) Syed Khalid Amir Jaffery will formally end the Conference with his concluding remarks.
